About this fabric

Carnforth Beige from the Tarn collection by Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with a subtle vertical slub that gives the surface gentle movement. The colour sits in a warm beige range, softened by creamy and linen-like undertones, so it feels calm rather than stark. Its composition of 41% viscose, 40% linen, 11% cotton, 5% acrylic and 3% polyester helps explain the mix of softness and crisp texture visible in the weave. With a width of approximately 139cm and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it is a straightforward fabric for patterned-free schemes where texture carries the interest. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are supplied for this exact cloth.

How to use it

Use this beige in rooms where you want a light, grounded backdrop: it suits relaxed upholstery, neat curtains and slipcovers with natural wood or painted finishes. The warm, pale tone works especially well alongside oatmeal, driftwood, brass and muted sage.

A softly textured neutral that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or simple curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
