About this fabric

Woven in a 139cm approx width, Carnforth Sienna combines 41% viscose, 40% linen, 11% cotton, 5% acrylic and 3% polyester for a cloth that feels textured but composed. The colour sits between cream and pale sienna, with golden beige thread running through a lighter ground so the overall effect is warm rather than stark. The visible weave is fine and lightly nubby, with vertical pinstripes created by the yarns rather than a printed pattern, and the repeat is 0cm vertically and horizontally. It has a relaxed, versatile character that suits layered interiors without feeling heavy.

How to use it

Use this warm cream tone to soften darker timber, tan leather or painted joinery, where its gentle beige warmth will lift the room. It is especially effective in spaces that need texture without strong pattern, from tailored upholstery to simple curtains.

A soft, sunlit neutral that works neatly across upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
