About this fabric

Ashlar Multi from the Theodore collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in 76% Linen and 24% Viscose, with an approximate width of 123cm and a vertical repeat of 77cm by 62cm horizontally. The fabric has a visibly linen-rich surface with a soft, slightly dry texture that suits the painterly outline of the flowers and leaves. In this colourway, the background reads as warm cream rather than stark white, which gives the reds, blues, apricots and olive tones a gentler, more antique feel. The overall effect is decorative and tailored, with enough presence for statement upholstery or drapery.

How to use it

Use Ashlar Multi against painted woodwork, woven blinds or plain linen companions so the cream ground and multicoloured florals can take centre stage. It works especially well in rooms that need colour but still benefit from a light, elegant base.

A lively, embroidered-look floral on a warm cream base; use it to lift a room without losing refinement.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
