Ashlar Blue

Theodore FabricF4670-02

Ashlar Blue shows a graceful floral trail on a pale, linen-look ground, with petals and leaves picked out in soft blue, biscuit and ink accents. The overall effect is airy and refined rather than bold.

About this fabric

This Theodore fabric combines 39% cotton, 34% linen and 27% viscose, giving the design a natural-looking surface with a subtle softness. The repeat is a generous V 77cm / H 62cm approx, which suits the sprawling floral pattern and its spaced-out movement across the cloth. In Ashlar Blue, the palette reads as muted powder blue with warm neutral highlights, so the embroidery-style motifs feel calm and slightly vintage rather than bright. With a width of 123cm approx and no performance notes supplied, it works particularly well for decorative schemes where the pattern can breathe.

How to use it

Use Ashlar Blue for curtains in a light-filled room, where the pale blue detailing will feel fresh against chalky paintwork or oak. It also brings a quieter, tailored elegance to upholstered occasional chairs and bedheads.

A softly embroidered-style floral for elegant curtains or light decorative upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ashlar Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
