Tarn Slate Blue

Tarn FabricF4793-01

Tarn Slate Blue is a quietly textured cloth with a cool, weathered blue cast and tiny pale flecks that soften the surface. The close herringbone-like weave gives it a dry, refined feel rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

Woven with 35% linen, 27% jute, 19% acrylic, 14% cotton, 4% polyester and 1% polyamide, this fabric has the natural, slightly rustic handle you can see in the image. The 145cm approximate width and zero repeat make it easy to work into tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains without pattern matching. Its slate-blue ground sits over a beige-grey base, with small lighter blue specks that read cooler in the weave and add movement across the cloth. Q 8 + T 3 care and √BM fire performance are supplied for this exact colourway.

How to use it

Use Tarn Slate Blue on an armchair, bench or loose-cover sofa where its cool tone can balance warmer woods and leather. It also works well at the window, where the small woven flecks will catch daylight without looking busy.

Pair it with pale oak, chalk white and brushed metal for a calm, tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
