About this fabric

This Tarn colourway shows a cool, diluted grey with gentle beige undertones, lifted by tiny slubs and specks that come through in the weave. The cloth is a substantial fabric at approximately 145cm wide, woven in 35% Linen, 27% Jute, 19% Acrylic, 14% Cotton, 4% Polyester and 1% Polyamide. Its visible texture feels dry and organic, with the irregularity you would expect from the linen and jute content, while the pale ground keeps the overall effect light. With no repeat to interrupt the surface, it has the quiet, even presence of a hard-working upholstery fabric.

How to use it

Use Tarn Grey Mist on a sofa or armchair where you want a calm, low-contrast neutral that still has texture. It pairs especially well with weathered oak, chalky whites and deeper charcoal accents.

A quietly textured neutral that works beautifully on relaxed seating or easygoing drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
