About this fabric

From Colefax and Fowler’s Tarn collection, Sebastian Red is a fabric with a repeated geometric motif and an approximate vertical repeat of 10cm and horizontal repeat of 12cm. The composition blends 35% viscose, 33% linen, 13% polyester, 11% wool, 4% cotton and 4% polyamide, giving the cloth a tactile, slightly slubbed look rather than a flat printed finish. In this colourway, the red is softened toward terracotta, with muted green-blue and pale neutral highlights that keep the pattern crisp without making it harsh. At 138cm wide, it is a versatile decorative fabric with a smart, understated character.

How to use it

Use Sebastian Red to add warmth to a study, dining chair, or tailored cushion scheme where the small-scale pattern can be appreciated up close. Its earthy red tone pairs especially well with aged woods, chalky neutrals and deep green accents.

A refined small-scale geometric that brings warmth and pattern without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
