About this fabric

Kempsey Red/Green from the Theodore collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 49% viscose, 26% linen, 17% cotton and 8% polyester blend with a width of approximately 133cm and a vertical repeat of about 19cm. The stripe layout alternates narrow decorative borders with wider coral-red columns, giving the design a clear rhythm across the cloth. Its ground colour is a creamy ivory, while the green notes sit in a muted sage range and soften the stronger red bands. The overall effect is smart and traditional with a gently worn surface character that suits both upholstery and drapery use.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms with pale timber, painted joinery or antique brass, where the coral red can warm the scheme without overpowering it. It is especially attractive on a bench, armchair or full-length curtain where the vertical stripes can visually lengthen the space.
