About this fabric

This colourway has a mellow coral-red cast, softened by pale yarns that break up the surface and keep the cloth from reading too heavy. The small repeating pattern has a subtle striped rhythm, with the weave creating a slightly slubby, tactile finish that feels organic rather than glossy. Tarn by Colefax and Fowler is supplied at approximately 141cm wide, with a repeat of V 3cm / H 1cm approx, making it straightforward for upholstery panels or window treatments that need a regular, compact pattern. Its composition of 37% Viscose, 22% Linen, 18% Cotton, 14% Polyester, 4% Wool, 3% Polyamide and 2% Acrylic gives the fabric a blended handle and a gently textured look. Fire code √BM is noted.

How to use it

Pair this warm red with chalky neutrals, pale timber and faded brass to let the colour feel inviting rather than sharp. It would suit a sofa, occasional chair or relaxed curtain where the small-scale pattern can add depth without dominating the room.

Use for tailored upholstery or full-length curtains when you want a warm, textural red with an easy, lived-in feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
