Tarn FabricF4802-04
Hugo Red shows a softly variegated red ground with a woven, crosshatched texture and fine horizontal striping. The overall effect is warm and sun-faded rather than bright, with cream threads lifting the surface.

About this fabric
This colourway has a mellow coral-red cast, softened by pale yarns that break up the surface and keep the cloth from reading too heavy. The small repeating pattern has a subtle striped rhythm, with the weave creating a slightly slubby, tactile finish that feels organic rather than glossy. Tarn by Colefax and Fowler is supplied at approximately 141cm wide, with a repeat of V 3cm / H 1cm approx, making it straightforward for upholstery panels or window treatments that need a regular, compact pattern. Its composition of 37% Viscose, 22% Linen, 18% Cotton, 14% Polyester, 4% Wool, 3% Polyamide and 2% Acrylic gives the fabric a blended handle and a gently textured look. Fire code √BM is noted.
How to use it
Pair this warm red with chalky neutrals, pale timber and faded brass to let the colour feel inviting rather than sharp. It would suit a sofa, occasional chair or relaxed curtain where the small-scale pattern can add depth without dominating the room.
Use for tailored upholstery or full-length curtains when you want a warm, textural red with an easy, lived-in feel.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hugo Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
