Floriana Velvet Red

Theodore VelvetF4689-01

Floriana Velvet Red shows a richly patterned velvet ground in a warm coral-red tone, lifted by cream, teal and soft gold detailing. The ornate motif gives the colourway a lively, aged richness rather than a flat solid finish.

About this fabric

Floriana Velvet Red from the Theodore collection by Colefax and Fowler is a velvet with a substantial handle and a decorative large-scale repeat, measuring approximately V 75cm and H 68cm. The composition is 60% viscose, 30% cotton and 10% polyester, which helps create the soft surface sheen visible across the red ground. In this colourway the red reads as coral-leaning and slightly sun-warmed, with the pattern standing out in cream, teal-grey, sage and muted gold. The overall effect is characterful and smart, with enough depth and texture to hold its own on an upholstered piece.

How to use it

Use this coral-red velvet on a curved sofa, armchair or ottoman where the pattern can be seen across the surface. It pairs especially well with aged brass, dark timber and quiet neutrals that let the warm red finish glow.

The coral-red ground keeps the ornate motif lively and warm, so it works well on statement seating or a formal accent chair.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
