Colefax and Fowler

Lombard Antique Rose

Theodore FabricF4665-02

Lombard Antique Rose pairs a classic scrolling floral pattern with a softly faded rose palette on a light ground. The design reads decorative and refined, with the warmer pinks lifted by pale sage and ivory details.

About this fabric

This fabric is composed of 67% linen, 26% viscose and 7% polyester, with a width of approximately 124cm and a repeat of V 64cm / H 62cm approx. The surface in the image looks smooth and lightly crisp rather than heavy, which makes the scrolling motif read clearly across the cloth. Antique rose, apricot and blush accents sit against a creamy ground, while muted sage scrolls and pale outlines keep the design from feeling overly sweet. It has a smart decorative quality that suits room schemes needing colour without brightness.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an upholstered armchair, a pair of curtains or a headboard where the antique rose ground can warm up ivory, taupe or faded green interiors. The soft contrast of rose and sage works especially well in traditional rooms with painted woodwork and aged brass.

Use it for elegant statement upholstery or curtains where the warm rose tones can soften a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lombard Antique Rose without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
