Colefax and Fowler

Lombard Blue

Theodore FabricF4665-01

Lombard Blue shows a large damask pattern with softly aged blue motifs set against a pale ivory ground. The design feels calm and decorative, with the darker blue details giving the repeat a crisp, tailored edge.

About this fabric

Lombard Blue from the Theodore collection by Colefax and Fowler is composed of 67% Linen, 26% Viscose and 7% Polyester, with a width of approximately 124cm and a repeat of V 64cm / H 62cm approx. The fabric presents a formal damask in soft slate-blue, dove blue and warm taupe, balanced by a creamy background that keeps the pattern light rather than heavy. Its woven texture has a gentle lustre and enough body to read well across both furnishings and window treatments. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code are part of the supplied specification.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without harsh contrast: it works especially well with painted woodwork, pale stone and muted navy accents. The cool blue notes keep the damask fresh, while the taupe scrolls soften the overall effect in a traditional room.

A refined large-scale damask that suits elegant upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
