About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is woven in a 74% Linen, 16% Polyester, 6% Cotton, 4% Viscose blend, giving the cloth a natural linen look with a slightly softened handle. The repeat is V 29cm / H 32cm approx and the design reads as a neat lattice of small botanical sprays, evenly spaced across the width. In Cherwell Old Blue, the blue notes are gentle rather than vivid, balanced by pale green and warm blush accents that keep the pattern fresh. At 128cm approx wide, it is a useful mid-scale decorative fabric for schemes that want pattern without heaviness.

How to use it

Use this colourway to add quiet pattern to a bedroom, sitting room or window treatment where the soft blue reads calm rather than cold. It pairs well with chalky whites, pale wood and faded green upholstery for a composed, layered look.

The washed blue, sage and blush tones suit relaxed upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
