Theodore Old Blue

Theodore FabricF4676-02

Theodore Old Blue presents a restrained striped pattern in a pale, softened blue on a light ground. The motif feels orderly and quietly decorative, with a gentle aged finish rather than a bright or coastal one.

About this fabric

Woven in 70% linen and 30% viscose, Theodore has the dry, natural look of linen with a slightly smoother finish from the viscose content. The design repeats in vertical bands of scrolling oval medallions and small floral motifs, giving the cloth a measured rhythm across the 130cm width. In Old Blue, the ornament reads as a misty, greyed blue with a calm, airy character, while the pale ground keeps the overall effect fresh and understated. The approximate 39cm vertical repeat and 65cm horizontal repeat create a substantial decorative stripe that is easy to position on larger pieces or window dressings.

How to use it

This soft blue works well in light-filled rooms, where the muted stripe can add pattern without overpowering plain paints or timber finishes. It is especially effective for relaxed drapery, upholstered occasional chairs, or cushions paired with chalky whites and faded greys.

Use for tailored curtains or upholstered accent pieces where the pale blue stripe can read crisp and airy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
