Omega Velvet 4 Navy

Omega Velvet 4 Velvet043

Omega Velvet 4 Navy is a deep, ink-toned velvet with a smooth, low-sheen surface and a quietly luxurious finish. The colour reads as a very dark navy, almost midnight in the shadows, with softer blue depth where the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This plain velvet has the dense, polished look you expect from a hard-wearing upholstery cloth, while still working beautifully for curtains and loose covers. The pile gives the surface a subtle directional sheen, so the navy shifts from near-black in shade to a cooler blue along the light. Made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, it is specified for Contract and General Domestic upholstery with a Martindale rub test of 100,000. It also carries FR rating A, conforming to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 (Cigarette) and 1 (Match), and the width is 137cm.

How to use it

Use this navy velvet to ground a scheme with pale oak, crisp white and brushed brass for a tailored, contemporary look. It is especially effective on a sofa, banquette or full-length drapes where the dark pile can show a soft sheen.

A rich navy velvet that feels tailored and timeless on seating or smart curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
