About this fabric

Woven in a plain velvet with a subtle directional nap, this colourway has a dense, smooth surface that catches the light in soft tonal shifts. The Myrtle shade is a muted forest green, leaning earthy and shaded rather than bright or blue-toned. It is supplied as a 137cm-wide fabric and has a Martindale rub test of 100,000, making it suitable for both general domestic and contract upholstery. The specification also notes curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery, so it works well wherever a polished, durable finish is needed.

How to use it

Use Myrtle to bring weight and richness to a sofa, armchair or banquette, especially alongside walnut, brass or smoked oak. It also makes a refined curtain colour in rooms with warm neutrals, where the deep green will read luxurious and settled.

A rich moss velvet that brings depth to tailored upholstery and elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
