Omega Velvet 4 Mulberry

Omega Velvet 4 Velvet030

Omega Velvet 4 Mulberry is a deep berry velvet with a plush, light-catching surface. The colour reads as a rich mulberry wine tone, darker in the folds and brighter where the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

This colourway has a saturated red-purple depth that feels luxurious rather than bright, with a soft sheen that shifts as the velvet pile moves. It is woven in 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, giving the fabric its smooth handle and resilient finish. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grading for contract and general domestic use, it is well suited to hard-working seating as well as curtains and loose covers. The plain design and 137cm width keep the focus on the colour, while the BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 rating adds reassurance for upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use Mulberry to bring depth to pale timber, stone or warm neutral schemes, where its wine-like tone can act as the room’s focal point. It looks especially strong on tailored sofas, dining chairs or full-length curtains that show off the velvet’s rich surface.

A rich jewel tone that gives velvet seating a dramatic, polished finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
