About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is composed of 55% viscose, 35% cotton and 10% polyamide, with an approximate width of 142cm and a horizontal repeat of 1.5cm. In this Bourgogne colourway, the stripe reads as a deep wine red rather than a bright red, so the overall effect is warm, composed and slightly formal. The cream background softens the contrast and keeps the design bright, while the slender vertical stripes create a clean, rhythmic surface. Its fine, disciplined look makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery when you want a classic stripe with a richer, more refined tone.

How to use it

Use Agathe Bourgogne on an armchair, dining chair or tailored curtain to bring structure and warmth to a room. The burgundy-on-cream palette pairs well with oak, mahogany, parchment tones and dark painted finishes.

Sharp ticking stripes give this warm burgundy colourway a tailored, classic look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
