About this fabric

Woven in a durable velvet construction, this colourway shows a smooth, closely piled surface with a light-catching finish that softens the intensity of the red. The composition is 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, and the cloth is specified for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery. With a 100,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery grade, it is built for demanding use while still feeling luxurious. The 137cm width and plain repeat make it straightforward to pattern-match for larger schemes, and the BS5852 Part 1 fire rating adds further practicality.

How to use it

Use this vermillion velvet on a tailored sofa or pair of dining chairs to add a bold, jewel-like focal point. It also makes striking curtains, where the deep red pile will look especially opulent in evening light.
