About this fabric

This colourway reads as a pale, muted beige with a faint green-grey cast, which keeps the velvet looking cool and restrained in the light. The surface has the short, dense nap you expect from a velvet, so the shade shifts subtly as you move around it. Made from 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose, it is specified for curtains, loose cover upholstery and fixed upholstery. With a Martindale rub test of 100,000 and upholstery grades for contract and general domestic use, it is a practical choice for hard-working seating as well as elegant soft furnishings. The 137cm width and plain repeat make it straightforward to pattern match and use on larger pieces.

How to use it

Use Vellum to soften darker woods, stone and painted joinery, or pair it with warm whites for a calm layered scheme. Its quiet beige tone works especially well on tailored sofas, banquettes and full-height curtains where you want texture without strong colour.
