About this fabric

This Umber colourway shows a dark chocolate-brown velvet with a subtle olive warmth in the shadows, so it feels more earthy than flat brown. The plain surface and fine nap catch the light softly, creating gentle tonal shifts across the cloth rather than a hard shine. Woven in a 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic, 4% Viscose composition, it is supplied at 137cm wide and suitable for Curtains, Loose Cover Upholstery and Fixed Upholstery. With a 100,000 Martindale rub test and contract/general domestic upholstery grade, it is a practical choice for high-use seating as well as drapes that need a heavier, more cocooning look.

How to use it

Use this umber velvet on a sofa, armchair or banquette where its dark warmth can anchor lighter walls and timber. It also works well for curtains in rooms with brass, leather or natural oak, where the depth of colour feels especially inviting.
