About this fabric

Woven in a 44% wool, 28% cotton, 19% linen and 9% polyamide blend, Mateus Tobacco has the tactile, lightly dry character you expect from a natural-mix upholstery cloth. The 133cm approx width and plain handle make it versatile for tailored seating, cushions, or structured curtains where a fabric needs to fall neatly. Its tobacco tone sits between caramel and chestnut, with muted depth and a gently mottled finish that stops it feeling flat. The repeat is listed as V 0cm / H 0cm approx, reinforcing the clean, unpatterned look visible in the cloth.

How to use it

Use this shade with oak, cognac leather, and chalky linens for a warm, layered scheme. It also pairs well with olive or bronze accents if you want the room to feel more grounded and tailored.

A warm, grounded neutral that works neatly across tailored upholstery and clean-lined drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
