Asti Tobacco

Asti FabricL9555-04

Asti Tobacco is shown here as a tightly ordered woven pattern with a warm brown base and lighter natural threads creating a subtle, rhythmic zigzag effect. The overall impression is earthy and tailored, with enough movement in the weave to stop the colour from feeling flat.

About this fabric

Asti Tobacco by Larsen has a precise geometric repeat, with the vertical and horizontal repeat both measuring approximately 3cm, which gives the surface its crisp, compact scale. The fabric is 139cm wide and made from 47% viscose, 30% cotton, 17% linen and 6% polyester, so it has the balanced look of a natural-blend textile with a cleaner finish. In this colourway, the tobacco tone reads as a warm reddish brown, lifted by pale flax-coloured threads that create a refined, almost basket-like texture. The small pattern and firm visual structure make it feel considered and neat rather than bold or decorative.

How to use it

This tobacco shade works well with oak, walnut and saddle leather, where its warm brown notes will feel grounded and cohesive. Use it on an upholstered chair or bench for a smart, textural accent that still sits comfortably in a relaxed scheme.

Use it to add a tailored, textural warmth that feels polished rather than rustic.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Asti Tobacco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
