Alta Tobacco

Alta FabricL9372-04

Alta Tobacco is a warm, earthy brown with a finely patterned surface that reads quietly tailored rather than bold. The compact geometric motif gives the fabric a restrained depth and a softly textural finish.

About this fabric

Alta Tobacco from the Larsen Alta collection is composed of 75% Virgin Wool, 20% Polyester and 5% Cotton, and is shown here in a warm tobacco-brown tone. The surface has a small, regular geometric pattern that is visible as a subtle tonal relief rather than a high-contrast print, giving the cloth an understated, refined look. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a practical upholstery fabric with enough body to suit seating and fitted soft furnishings. The colour feels cosy and grounded, with the wool content helping the brown read rich and natural rather than flat.

How to use it

Use this tobacco shade on an armchair, banquette or ottoman where its warm depth can anchor paler woods, leather and antique brass. It also pairs well with cream, olive and textured neutrals for a calm, layered scheme.

A rich, grounded brown that works beautifully on tailored seating and structured cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Alta Tobacco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
