Granit Clay

Alta FabricL9347-03

Granit Clay is a softly speckled neutral with a warm clay-beige cast and a gentle, low-contrast surface. Its fine, even texture gives the colour a mellow, stone-like depth rather than a flat plain finish.

About this fabric

Woven in a 142cm approx width, Granit Clay combines 34% viscose, 33% acrylic, 17% wool, 8% polyester, 4% linen and 4% cotton for a tactile, blended handle. The close weave reads as a fine-grain surface in the image, with the beige ground warmed by muted biscuit and clay notes and just enough tonal variation to keep it alive in the light. With a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it presents as a non-directional plain that feels easy to specify across larger pieces. The overall effect is understated and natural, with the wool and linen content giving the cloth a drier, softly tailored look.

How to use it

Use this colourway on sofas, loose covers or simple curtains where a calm warm neutral is wanted without looking stark. It sits well beside oak, travertine and tobacco leathers, and its gentle clay tone adds warmth to cooler schemes.

A softly textured neutral that layers easily with timber, stone and warm metallics.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
