About this fabric

This Birch colourway reads as a warm, muted beige with a subtle oatmeal cast, lifted by the tiny pebble-like texture visible across the cloth. The surface has a dry, tactile character rather than a polished sheen, which lets the tone sit quietly in a room. At approximately 135cm wide, and woven in 51% viscose, 29% wool, 9% cotton, 9% linen and 2% polyamide, it has the natural look of a blended upholstery fabric with enough structure for smart soft furnishings. The repeat is vertical 0cm / horizontal 0cm approx, reinforcing its plain, understated appearance. The overall effect is clean and understated, with just enough tonal variation to keep the colourway from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use this birch neutral to soften walnut, oak and darker painted finishes, where its warm beige tone will bring balance without competing. It works especially well on tailored upholstery, relaxed cushions or quiet drapery in rooms that need texture more than pattern.

An easy neutral with enough texture to add warmth and depth without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
