Georgia Stone

Ashdown FabricF4828-02

Georgia Stone shows a delicate all-over floral wreath motif on a warm stone-beige ground. The pattern reads airy and refined, with the small trailing leaves and buds giving the design a quiet, tailored rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in a 54% Cotton, 33% Linen, 13% Viscose blend, this fabric has the softly textured handle and natural-looking finish you can see in the swatch. The ground is a light stone beige, while the motif is picked out in muted taupe-brown with a pale sage undertone, creating a gentle contrast rather than a bold one. The repeated oval garlands sit neatly across the cloth, and the 24cm vertical by 23cm horizontal repeat helps keep the pattern regular and balanced. At approximately 136cm wide, it is a practical width for both upholstery and drapery projects where a calm, decorative surface is wanted.

How to use it

Use Georgia Stone to soften formal seating, particularly in rooms with pale timber, aged brass or painted joinery. Its muted beige and brown-green palette pairs easily with plaster pinks, olive accents or layered natural linens.

A softly elegant neutral that works well on tailored upholstery or graceful curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Georgia Stone without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
