About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Ashdown fabric has an approx. 130cm width and a large vertical repeat of 77cm by 130cm, so the motif reads with generous scale across a scheme. The leaf damask is rendered in soft aqua outlines with a faint grey shadow, which keeps the pattern crisp but muted rather than bright. On the pale background, the colour has a cool, washed quality that feels lighter and fresher than a stronger blue. The visible linen texture adds a slightly rustic softness, making the design feel refined but not over-formal.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern with a cool, uplifting note: it works especially well on curtains, cushions or an upholstered occasional chair against chalky white or pale timber. The aqua detail is gentle enough to sit comfortably in a calm bedroom or drawing room, while still giving the room a clear decorative focus.

A cool, airy aqua that lifts the ornate damask without feeling heavy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Leaf Damask Aqua without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
