Fairlight Blue/Leaf

Ashdown FabricF4819-02

Fairlight Blue/Leaf shows a softly layered botanical trail on a pale cream ground, with leafy stems and small blue flower clusters giving the design a fresh, airy feel. The muted palette keeps the print light and elegant rather than busy.

About this fabric

Woven in a 62% Linen, 30% Viscose, 8% Polyester blend, this 132cm-wide fabric has the easy handle and natural character you would expect from a linen-led cloth, with a little added softness from the viscose. The repeat is a generous V 78cm half drop and H 87cm approx, which suits the meandering, scattered placement of the leaves and blossom. In this colourway, the foliage sits between sage, olive and soft celadon, while the tiny flower clusters read as cool powder blue against the warm neutral ground. It feels calm and garden-like, with enough pattern movement to make curtains or decorative upholstery stand out without dominating a room.

How to use it

Use it where you want a gentle spring-like lift: full-length curtains, Roman blinds or a statement occasional chair all suit the restrained blue and green palette. It pairs naturally with pale woods, cream paintwork and other softened greens.

A gentle botanical print that feels fresh and light against the linen ground.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fairlight Blue/Leaf without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
