About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% jute, Calao Birch has a dry, natural handle that suits its softly structured striped look. The design runs in vertical bands with a 1cm repeat, and the 136cm approximate width gives a generous sense of scale on the roll. In this colourway the pale beige ground reads warm and light, while the deeper brown and charcoal-like stripes add definition without harsh contrast. The finish feels smart and slightly rustic at the same time, with the jute content lending a subtle grain across the surface. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Calao Birch works well where you want a gentle stripe that still feels refined, especially on Roman blinds, loose covers, or simple upholstery shapes. Its warm beige ground sits easily with oak, linen, and darker timber finishes.

Use for tailored blinds, relaxed curtains, or lightweight upholstery where a soft striped finish is wanted.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Calao Birch without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
