Conga FabricL9462-01

Jeff Clay reads as a softly tonal checker in warm cream and pale beige, with a subtle woven texture that keeps the pattern calm and light. The regular grid gives the fabric a neat, ordered look without feeling stark.

About this fabric

This colourway of Larsen’s Conga collection has a gentle cream ground with slightly deeper beige blocks, creating a small-scale check that feels airy rather than contrasty. The surface has a clearly woven character, with the lighter squares appearing smooth and the alternate squares showing a fine horizontal texture. Made in a 140cm approx width and composed of 40% Virgin Wool, 19% Viscose, 18% Cotton, 13% Polyester and 10% Linen, it combines softness with a grounded, textile feel. The repeat is V 7cm (Half drop) / H 7cm approx, which supports the disciplined rhythm visible in the swatch. With no performance features noted and fire code √BM, it suits schemes that want a tailored but understated finish.

How to use it

Use Jeff Clay on compact upholstery, bench seating or tailored cushions where the pale checker can brighten the room without dominating it. It would sit especially well with natural wood, chalky paintwork and muted taupe textiles.

Pair with oak, linen and quiet neutrals for a refined, easygoing finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
