Sense Tobacco

Sense Tobacco is a rich tobacco-brown upholstery textile with a quietly tactile, close-textured surface. Its warm ochre depth gives the plain cloth more visual character than a flat brown.

About this fabric

The swatch shows an even, densely woven surface in a warm tobacco shade, sitting between golden ochre and medium brown. Fine horizontal and irregular fibres create a softly napped texture that catches the light without forming a visible pattern. The depth of colour keeps the fabric grounded and cosy, while the understated surface remains smart enough for tailored upholstery.

How to use it

Use Sense Tobacco on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its warm brown-gold tone can bring depth to cream, stone, walnut and darker timber schemes. Pair it with woven neutrals and aged brass for a softly layered, earthy interior.

A warm tobacco tone with a fine, tactile surface for upholstered seating and occasional chairs.

Pairs well with

Sense Tobacco is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
