About this fabric

This 605 gsm woven fabric has a substantial visual presence, making it particularly well suited to upholstery. Its usable width is 131.5 cm, with a 4.1 cm vertical repeat and an 8.6 cm horizontal repeat for the narrow chevron design. The 71 threads per cm give the surface a closely constructed appearance, while the tobacco ground brings warmth beneath the cooler slate linework. The low-contrast colour pairing keeps the pattern defined without making the cloth feel stark.

How to use it

Use Tobacco/ Slate on a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard where its warm brown depth can anchor a room. Pair it with tobacco, walnut and aged-metal tones, then echo the slate detail through cooler grey-blue accents.

A substantial tobacco-brown upholstery cloth, sharpened by fine slate chevron lines and a tightly woven surface.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
