About this fabric

This Harlequin Performance Boucle colourway is visibly built around a dense, irregular boucle texture, with fine pale and deeper brown fibres creating a softly mottled finish. At 519 gsm and 84 threads per cm, it has the substantial visual and tactile presence expected of a furnishing textile for upholstery. The usable width is 138 cm, while both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, so the surface reads as an all-over texture rather than a repeating motif. Its bronze warmth is softened by the mixed flecks, giving brown seating a grounded, quietly layered appearance.

How to use it

Use Islay Bronze on an armchair, sofa or occasional seat where its warm brown-bronze tone can sit alongside walnut, dark timber, aged brass and softly coloured neutrals. The flecked texture also adds depth to a restrained room without introducing a formal printed pattern.
