Porter & Stone

Mistral Bronze

Misc Fabric

Mistral Bronze has a richly woven bronze-brown ground lifted by a soft metallic glint. Its small geometric motif reads crisp and rhythmic, with a warm, softly reflective surface.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric comes from the Misc collection and is made in 95% polyester and 5% lurex, giving the surface its fine sparkle. At 140cm wide with an 18cm pattern repeat, the design is set out in a compact, repeating geometric medallion that feels neat and ordered. The bronze-brown colour is warm rather than reddish, with the lurex thread catching the light to bring out the raised pattern. Visually it sits between earthy brown and burnished metal, so the effect is smart and quietly decorative rather than overtly shiny. With no performance features noted, it is best chosen for schemes where the look of the weave and metallic highlight are the main draw.

How to use it

Use Mistral Bronze to add warmth to tailored cushions, a headboard or structured curtains, especially alongside dark wood, tobacco leather or aged brass. The small-scale pattern keeps the room grounded while the bronze sheen brings movement to low light.

A warm metallic bronze that adds subtle sheen and works well across upholstery and drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
