About this fabric

This Cosima Velvet II colourway has the dense, brushed look of a classic velvet, with the pile catching the light in softer and darker bands rather than a flat solid. The clay-brown shade sits comfortably between tan and muted ochre, with a warm, weathered character that feels calm and substantial. It is woven in a 56% viscose, 44% cotton composition and measures approximately 140cm wide, making it well suited to upholstery work where body and a rich hand are wanted. The repeat is 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal, so the plain appearance is continuous and easy to work across larger pieces.

How to use it

Use Cosima Clay on an armchair, sofa or banquette where its warm brown tone can bring depth without feeling heavy. It pairs especially well with cream walls, dark timber and textured neutrals for a tailored, quietly luxe scheme.

Pair with natural woods and linen to keep the warm clay tone looking refined.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
