About this fabric

This colourway has a muted slate-brown ground with subtle olive and taupe notes, so it reads cool rather than warm in the light. The small woven texture adds visual grain without a defined pattern, and the 0cm repeat confirms a plain, easy-to-match surface. Woven in 100% polyester and supplied at 140cm wide, it is a practical fabric option for both upholstery and drapery projects where a restrained, textured neutral is wanted. The finish feels smart and grounded, with enough depth to hold interest on larger pieces without appearing busy.

How to use it

Use Hadleigh Slate on a tailored armchair, bench or relaxed curtain to bring a calm, contemporary base into the room. It pairs especially well with pale oak, brushed metal and soft putty tones.

A cool, versatile neutral that layers easily with wood, stone and soft greys.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
