Islay Parchment

Performance Boucle FabricHAF0543-03

Islay Parchment has a softly mottled parchment-beige appearance, with cream and warm beige fibres creating a quiet, finely textured surface. The close nubby weave gives the colourway gentle depth rather than a flat plain finish.

About this fabric

This pale, warm-toned colourway is built from tiny cream and beige flecks that soften the parchment ground and create a subtly irregular boucle texture. The surface reads as dense and tactile in close view, while the small-scale texture remains visually calm from a distance. At 519 gsm, Islay Parchment has the substantial weight expected of an upholstery textile, with a 138 cm usable width for practical cutting. Its supplied figure of 84 threads per cm further reflects the closely woven appearance visible across the swatch.

How to use it

Pair Islay Parchment with warm ivory, limestone and light oak for a softly tonal room, or use it to temper darker walnut and aged metal. Its muted parchment beige is especially suited to relaxed upholstery where texture, rather than pattern, provides the interest.

Use this softly flecked parchment beige on upholstered seating, where its dense nubby surface adds quiet warmth without a strong motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
