About this fabric

This Harlequin Performance Boucle colourway reads as a warm, near-black brown, with lighter flecks catching across the irregular woven texture. The compact surface has a softly broken, almost weathered character, with subtle vertical movement visible through the mottling. At 519gsm and 138cm usable width, it has the substantial presence expected of an upholstery fabric. The design has a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, so the texture can be positioned freely across a piece.

How to use it

Use Islay Shadow on a tailored sofa, footstool or occasional chair where its charcoal-brown depth can anchor warm timber, leather and muted stone tones. Pair it with softly contrasting taupes to bring out the lighter flecks in the weave.
