Distortion Velvet Rosewood/Burnt Umber/Clay
Momentum 13 Fabrics VelvetHAF0410-02
Distortion Velvet Rosewood/Burnt Umber/Clay combines warm rosewood and clay with deeper burnt-umber markings in a repeated, angular ikat-like arrangement. Pale flashes interrupt the dark zigzags, giving the swatch a richly variegated look.

About this fabric
Rosewood, burnt umber and clay form a warm, earthy field, broken by cream flashes and dark plum-brown V-shaped zigzags. The surface reads as a softly lustrous velvet, while the blurred brush-mark effect gives the 50 cm vertical by 44 cm horizontal repeat an irregular, textile-like edge. At 416 gsm with 57.7 threads per cm, it has a substantial specification suited to upholstery. The 134 cm usable width and 60 m standard length provide the supplied production dimensions for planning larger upholstered pieces.
How to use it
Use this rosewood and burnt-umber colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its warm clay ground can anchor cream, tan and dark wood accents. Its angular repeat adds visual movement without losing the enveloping depth of velvet.
Use this warm, variegated velvet to bring earthy depth and angular movement to upholstered seating.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Distortion Velvet Rosewood/Burnt Umber/Clay without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
