About this fabric

The fabric shows dense vertical chains of pointed, zigzagging forms, with pale slate passages interrupting tobacco-brown and muted taupe areas. At 599 gsm and 71 threads per centimetre, it has a substantial woven presence suited to upholstery. Its usable width is 139.5 cm, with a 42 cm vertical repeat and 34.2 cm horizontal repeat that keep the geometric structure clearly legible across a panel. The tobacco tones add warmth, while the slate elements cool the overall effect and prevent the pattern from reading as overly rustic.

How to use it

Use Acute Tobacco/Slate on a statement armchair, dining seat or tailored sofa, pairing its warm brown geometry with slate, chalk or deep charcoal plains. Timber, smoked oak and brushed metal will reinforce the colourway’s balance of warmth and coolness.

A substantial geometric weave for upholstered seating, where tobacco warmth can be balanced with cooler slate accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
