About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet, this 416gsm fabric has the substantial handle expected for upholstery. Its 134cm usable width is patterned with a 50cm vertical repeat and 44cm horizontal repeat, forming repeated pointed, ikat-like shapes rather than a regular stripe or check. Rosewood and blush provide a softly warm base, while turquoise-teal flashes and dark navy points add a cooler, more graphic counterpoint. The supplied specification records 57.7 threads per cm, complementing the closely worked, textured appearance visible in the pile.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its rosewood depth can anchor a room while the azure and teal marks introduce cooler contrast. Pair it with warm natural timber and quiet stone or cream textiles to keep the busy painterly repeat in focus.

Use the rosewood warmth and cool azure-teal accents to bring depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
