About this fabric

This densely woven Zoffany fabric weighs 355gsm and has 174 threads per centimetre, giving the surface a substantial, closely worked handle suited to upholstery. Small overlapping motifs create a layered downward sweep, with ochre and bronze highlights catching against the cool, dark blue ground. The colourway reads deeper and more atmospheric than a straightforward blue, while the warm metallic-looking accents prevent it from feeling flat. It is supplied at a usable width of 135cm, with a 98cm vertical repeat and 68cm horizontal repeat.

How to use it

Use the ink ground to anchor a reading chair, headboard or footstool, then echo its tiger's-eye ochre in piping, timber, aged brass or a warm rug. The pattern's dark depth works particularly well with smoky neutrals and walnut tones.

Use this richly layered ink-and-gold colourway on a statement chair, footstool or occasional upholstery against warm neutral walls.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
