About this fabric

The fabric is woven at 300 gsm, giving the dense trellis design enough visual and physical substance for upholstery as well as drapery. Its 138 cm usable width is organised by a 69.5 cm vertical repeat and a 69 cm horizontal repeat, so the nested diamond motifs make a clear feature when pattern-matched. Venetian red dominates the surface, reading warmer and more grounded than a bright scarlet, while the darker linear framework adds depth. Small ochre and blue-grey marks catch across the weave, tempering the richness and preventing the intricate pattern from appearing flat.

How to use it

Use this deep Venetian red on a statement chair, headboard or layered curtain where its charcoal and muted blue-grey tracery can sit against warm timber, aged brass or quiet stone. The large diamond repeat is especially effective when allowed to read across broad upholstery or full-length drapery.
