About this fabric

This woven design is filled with repeating fan-shaped blooms, curling leaves and small scrolling details, arranged in a compact, medium-scale damask. The burgundy pattern is warm and saturated against the ochre ground, while the woven texture catches the light in subtly varied tones rather than appearing flat. At 230 gsm, it is a versatile mid-weight suitable for upholstery or drapery, with a 138 cm usable width. The pattern measures 33 cm vertically by 69 cm horizontally, and the supplied 50 m standard length is supported by a stated thread count of 417 threads per cm.

How to use it

Use the warm ochre ground to connect with aged timber, antique brass or russet leather, and let the burgundy motifs bring depth to a traditional chair, bench or generously gathered curtain. Its dark floral repeat also works well as the anchoring textile in a room built around quieter plain fabrics.

Use this richly patterned woven in traditional upholstery or full-length curtains where its burgundy and ochre contrast can lead the scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pomegranate Brocatelle Cochineal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
