Long Gallery Brocade in Quartz Grey/Rose shows a richly detailed arrangement of urns, fan-like sprays and floral damask motifs against a deep charcoal-grey ground. Pale rose, blue-grey and ivory threads lift the pattern from the dark background while retaining its composed, antique character.

About this fabric

Woven at 400gsm, this substantial brocade has the visual depth and structure expected of a fabric for upholstery. The 132cm usable width presents the large-scale design clearly, with a 74cm vertical repeat and 66cm horizontal repeat defining the ordered placement of the urns and floral motifs. In this colourway, the charcoal ground makes the pale rose, cool blue-grey and ivory details appear softly illuminated rather than bright. The supplied specification lists 254 threads per centimetre and a standard 50m length.

How to use it

Use Quartz Grey/Rose on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where the dark ground can frame the pale, finely drawn motifs. Pair it with warm ivory and aged wood to soften the cool grey, or repeat the dusty rose accents in cushions and painted details.

The substantial 400gsm brocade and formal urn-and-floral repeat suit statement upholstery in a traditional room.
