Long Gallery Brocade Olivine/Russet

Suffolk Damasks and Stripes FabricZOF0214-02

Long Gallery Brocade Olivine/Russet pairs a muted olive-green ground with russet, faded red and pale stone ornament. Its dense, tapestry-like surface gives the repeated botanical forms an earthy, antique depth.

About this fabric

At 400 gsm, this is a substantial fabric well suited to upholstery, with a 132 cm usable width for planning covered pieces. The 74 cm vertical by 66 cm horizontal repeat sets formal urn-like botanical panels alongside compact floral medallions. Olive remains dominant and subdued, while russet blossoms, tan stems and pale green highlights add warmth without losing the colourway’s deep, mossy character. With 254 threads per cm and a 50 m standard length, the closely worked pattern has a particularly rich, intricate presence.

How to use it

Use the muted olive ground to anchor a statement chair, ottoman or occasional upholstery, allowing the russet flowers and pale botanical detailing to provide the room’s warmer accents. The large repeat is best shown across broad upholstered surfaces where the urns and medallions can remain legible.

A richly detailed olive-and-russet brocade for heritage upholstery and statement pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Long Gallery Brocade Olivine/Russet without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
