About this fabric

The close-up reveals closely spaced horizontal ribs rather than a printed motif, with a 1cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat. Its olive base is tempered by beige-green and darker threads, creating a low-contrast, mossy appearance as the light shifts across the texture. At 450gsm, this is a substantial velvet suited to upholstery, while the 141cm usable width supports practical cutting. The fabric is supplied in a standard 30m length and has 46 threads per centimetre.

How to use it

Use Ore Variscite on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its cool, muted olive tone can sit comfortably with warm timber, stone and darker green accents. The fine horizontal ribbing adds texture without introducing a strong decorative pattern.

Its muted olive tone and fine ribbed surface bring composed depth to upholstered seating.
