Edwin Green pairs a soft olive motif with a warm, pale ground for a calm, tailored look. The small diamond pattern gives the fabric a crisp, ordered rhythm that reads clearly in the swatch.

About this fabric

This Delaney fabric from Jane Churchill has a repeat of approximately V 9cm / H 8cm and a width of 139cm, making the pattern feel neatly scaled and controlled. The composition of 59% viscose, 29% cotton, 9% linen and 3% polyester gives the cloth a softly textured, lightly lustrous handle rather than a flat, dry finish. In this colourway, the olive-green diamonds sit against a warm beige-cream ground, so the design feels grounded and slightly rustic but still smart. The fine diagonal linework within each shape adds movement and makes the surface catch the light in a subtle, woven way.

How to use it

Use Edwin Green on an accent chair, cushions or tailored curtains where the muted olive tone can bring warmth without dominating. It works especially well with oak, aged brass and other natural neutrals.

A restrained olive on a warm neutral ground, ideal for adding pattern without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
