Durrel Charcoal

Delaney FabricJ0245-02

Durrel Charcoal reads as a finely broken geometric weave in layered charcoal, taupe and stone tones. The small-scale pattern gives the swatch a crisp, structured look with a softly mottled finish.

About this fabric

This colourway has a cool, muted character, with charcoal blocks sitting over a beige-taupe ground so the pattern feels graphic rather than heavy. The woven surface shows gentle texture and slight colour variation, helped by the blend of 34% Recycled Polyester, 33% Polyester, 16% Viscose, 11% Cotton and 6% Linen. With a width of approximately 136cm and a repeat of V 19cm / H 17cm approx, it is a useful scale for tailored upholstery or considered drapery. Care code C 8 + W 3 and fire code K are supplied for specification purposes.

How to use it

Use it to sharpen pale plaster, warm oak or mushroom-painted joinery, where the charcoal note adds definition without feeling stark. It would also sit well with deep olive, putty and brushed metal finishes in a calm contemporary room.

A cool, textural neutral that brings structure without overpowering a scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Durrel Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
